Man Wins $60,000 At Casino

From Staff And Wire Reports

A $1.60 bet has netted over $60,000 for a Lewiston restaurateur.

Joseph Teng and his wife, Sheree, had been at the Clearwater Casino east of Lewiston for about an hour and a half Friday when he bet 32 nickels, $1.60, on a video lottery terminal.

The screen flickered and “the No. 1 jackpot” - nine green bars appeared. The win netted Teng $63,275.

“I was sitting there. I was shocked for at least about five seconds. I knew it was a big one.”

Teng said the money will go toward paying off a new restaurant he and his wife started.
