Charles O’Bannon scored a career-high 31 points and ninth-ranked UCLA, trailing by 16 points twice in the first half, came back to beat Washington 87-85 in Seattle Thursday night.
O’Bannon scored 19 points in the second half as the Pac-10 champion Bruins (20-7, 14-3) beat Washington (16-10, 9-8) for the ninth straight time and for the 20th time in 22 games.
Washington saw its flickering hopes of getting into the NCAA Tournament for the first time since 1986 ended. The Huskies now hope to get an NIT bid.

Brevin Knight set up the score when he drove into the lane, drawing in Arizona’s defense, before passing to the open Sauer, who swished the shot.
