Woman Arrested For Trespassing After Prayer For Dead Bison

Associated Press

An organizer of the Indian ceremony held here for dead Yellowstone National Park bison was arrested on a charge that she trespassed on the Church Universal and Triumphant’s ranch.

Rosalee Little Thunder is accused of entering the Royal Teton Ranch without permission, at the end of Thursday’s prayer ceremony.

Organized in part by the InterTribal Bison Cooperative, the ceremony mourned the deaths of Yellowstone bison that wandered from the park and were killed under a state and federal agreement.

Little Thunder posted a $350 bond after her arrest by a Park County deputy sheriff.
