Sheinwold, The ‘King Of Bridge,’ Dies
Alfred Sheinwold, one of the foremost experts on bridge whose syndicated columns on the card game appeared in 200 newspapers, has died. He was 85.
Sheinwold died at a Sherman Oaks hospital on Saturday after suffering a stroke, said Ellie Pynes, his stepdaughter.
The London native often referred to as the “King of Bridge” also wrote 13 best-selling books on the game.
Sheinwold’s best-known book, “5 Weeks to Winning Bridge,” has sold more than 2 million copies.
