Woman’s Body Found On Riverbank

A man walking his dog Sunday morning discovered a woman’s body on a riverbank in the Spokane Valley, authorities said.

Sheriff’s detectives are investigating the death as a homicide.

The victim was described only as an adult white woman.

There were no visible signs of trauma to the body, although the woman’s pants were partially pulled down, sheriff’s Lt. Dave Wyrick said.

An autopsy is tentatively scheduled for Tuesday, he said.
