Habitat Bill Passes House, Goes To Batt
A bill that would give a tax break to property owners who fix up their stream-side land so it provides better habitat for fish and wildlife passed the House on Wednesday.
The legislation was proposed to clean up 962 of Idaho’s streams by giving farmers, ranchers and corporations a monetary incentive to do their part.
The bill, which passed on a 66 to 2 vote will now go to the governor for his signature.
