Search Ends For Missing Toddler

Crews have ended an exhaustive search for a missing 2-year-old boy that has only turned up a small footprint close to a river.

Ruben Felix disappeared Feb. 23 near the Little Wood River.

Lincoln County Sheriff Steve Southwick said no evidence has been found indicating that Felix’s disappearance is anything other than an accidental drowning.

Searchers gave the area a last scouring Tuesday and Wednesday, using ground teams and dogs, but had no success.
