UI Seminar For Owners Of Private Forest Land
Private forest land owners can learn about everything from fire to water quality issues at a two-day seminar at the University of Idaho. “Forest Stewardship Management: Issues and Barriers” is the theme for the workshop, which will be held March 24 and 25 in Moscow. It is sponsored by the Clearwater Resource Conservation and Development Council and some associated groups.
The Idaho Forest Owners Association and the Idaho Tree Farm Program are holding their annual meetings in conjunction with the workshop.
Featured speakers will include Tom Goodall, assistant region timberland manager for Boise Cascade Corp. in LaGrande, Ore., Leon Neuenschwander, forest resources and fire ecology professor at the University of Idaho, and Vincent Corrao, president of Northwest Management in Moscow.
