Gu Hires New Engineering Dean
Gonzaga University has hired a new dean of engineering.
Dennis R. Horn, now dean of engineering, mathematics and science at the University of Wisconsin-Platteville, will make the move to Gonzaga in July.
William Ilgen, professor and dean emeritus at Gonzaga, has served as interim dean since Zia Yamayee resigned last June.
Horn has experience in teaching, research, administration and consulting. He received a doctorate in 1974 from the Johns Hopkins University in 1974 and a bachelor’s degree in 1964 from Princeton University. He worked at the University of Idaho from 1984 to 1995.
