Agency Suspected Of More Voter Fraud
A social services agency targeted in an Orange County voter fraud probe also helped at least 13 Los Angeles County residents register to vote before they had become citizens, the Los Angeles Times reported Sunday.
The 13 people said employees of Hermandad Mexicana Nacional helped them complete registration cards before they had become citizens, the newspaper said. While only one said she actually had voted, it is illegal for non-citizens even to register.
Hermandad is at the center of a criminal investigation focusing on allegations by former Republican Rep. Robert K. Dornan that he lost the Nov. 5 election by fewer than 1,000 votes because of fraudulent voting by illegal immigrants and non-citizens.
