Irish Dispatch Horned Frogs

Pat Garrity scored 20 points Tuesday as Notre Dame ran all over Texas Christian for an 82-72 victory in the second round of the NIT at South Bend, Ind.

The Irish (16-13) will host Michigan Thursday.

The Horned Frogs (22-13) were already angry at having to travel despite having a better record and drawing a bigger crowd in the first round, and the Irish did nothing to improve their mood.

Michigan 75, Oklahoma St. 65

At Ann Arbor, Mich., Louis Bullock hit six 3-pointers and scored 28 points as the Wolverines (21-11) beat the Cowboys in the second round of the NIT.

Oklahoma State finished 17-15.

Connecticut 63, Bradley 47

At Storrs, Conn., Richard Hamilton scored 15 of his 24 points in the second half to lead the Huskies to victory over the Braves (17-13) and move the Huskies into the NIT quarterfinals.

Hamilton sparked the Huskies (16-14) during a 16-5 run midway through the second half to take control of the game.

Nebraska 78, Nevada 68

At Reno, Nev., Mikki Moore had 21 points and 15 rebounds as the Cornhuskers beat the Wolfpack.

Nebraska (18-14), the defending NIT champion, will play Connecticut Friday in the quarterfinals. Nevada ended at 21-10.
