Former Nazi Guard Charged In Death

Compiled From Wire Services

An alleged former guard at a Nazi concentration camp for women has been charged with trampling to death a young inmate in 1945, court officials said Wednesday.

Prosecutors say the woman, now 79, beat the girl with a club when she resisted being separated from her mother at the Malchow camp, part of the Ravensbrueck concentration camp complex.

When the girl fell to the ground, witnesses said the accused stomped on her with boots until she died.
