Cwu, L-C State Get Tourney Wins

Central Washington, overcoming a 14-point second-half deficit, upset 12th-seeded Azusa Pacific 87-76 Thursday in the second round of the men’s NAIA basketball tournament in Tulsa, Okla.

Todd Nealey of LaCrosse led Central Washington (18-12) with 21 points and Willie Thomas added 17.

The Wildcats play Cumberland, Ky., today in the quarterfinals.

NAIA Division I women In Jackson, Tenn., Rosie Albert scored 23 points to lead Lewis-Clark St. to a 90-68 victory over Concordia, Calif., Wednesday.

L-C State faces Wayland Baptist (24-7) today.
