Vikings Post Non-League Win

Joe Wagner’s one-run double in the top of the eighth inning Thursday helped Coeur d’Alene to a 3-1 non-league baseball win at Moscow.

The Vikings (1-1) led 1-0 until Rob Sumner of the Bears (0-2) lofted a sacrifice fly in the sixth. Scott Ross followed Wagner’s tie-breaking double with an RBI single.

CdA starter Mark Scates pitched no-hit ball for four innings, striking out four.
