Suspect In Saudi Bombing Arrested

Compiled From Wire Services

Canadian officials have arrested a second suspect in connection with a bombing last year in Saudi Arabia that killed 19 servicemen at a U.S. base.

Hani Abdel Rahim Al-Sayegh, a Saudi, was arrested Tuesday on suspicion of engaging in terrorism and being a threat to Canadian security, the Toronto Sun said Saturday, quoting government officials.

Details of the case against Sayegh will be kept confidential until a Federal Court judge has heard his case, a spokesman for the Canadian Security Intelligence Service said.

The FBI said Saturday it wanted to question Al-Sayegh, 28.

Sayegh is the second Saudi arrested in Canada for alleged links to the blast.

On Dec. 6, Fahad Shehri, 21, was arrested in Ottawa after allegedly telling authorities he belonged to a group connected to the bombing.
