Boy In Critical Condition After Being Hit By Car

A 4-year-old boy who was hit by a car Friday night remained in critical condition Saturday at Sacred Heart Medical Center.

Angelo Reed of Spokane was struck by a car driving on the wrong side of the road. He and Timothy Asuncion, 10, were injured on the southeast corner of Perry and Montgomery. Asuncion suffered minor injuries.

The 16-year-old driver of the car, who identified himself to police as Brian Charbonneau, was later arrested on suspicion of vehicular assault.

Police said the boy may have given an alias. The accident remains under investigation.
