Six People Hurt After Driver Runs Red Light On Sprague
Six people were hurt Saturday when a driver ran a red light, smashing his Buick into another car and sending it crashing into a third.
The driver of the second car was seriously injured and taken to a hospital, police spokesman Dick Cottam said.
Charges against the driver of the Buick are still pending, Cottam said. Police did not release the names of the drivers.
The accident happened just before 4:30 p.m. at the intersection of Sprague and Helena, near the post office.
The Buick was speeding west on Sprague, police said, when it broke through the red light. It hit a car that was heading south along Helena, sending it into another car stopped at the light on Sprague.
