Disaster Center Closes Saturday
A disaster center that opened last week at Geiger Field to provide assistance to Eastern Washington residents victimized by the March floods closes Saturday.
Disaster-recovery specialists from the Federal Emergency Management Agency and Washington State Emergency Management will be on hand to answer questions from people who have already applied for disaster relief.
They also will help residents check on the status of their applications and make changes to their requests, among other things.
The center is open from 8 a.m. to 6 p.m. today and 8 a.m. to noon Saturday.
To reach the center, take Exit 276 off Interstate 90; go left on Geiger Boulevard; turn right onto Electric Avenue and enter the Washington Air National Guard base. Signs will then direct you to the center.
