Hospital Bond Fails By .1 Percent

Absentee ballots failed to rescue a $2 million bond measure in Lincoln County Hospital District 3.

The measure, which had 59.1 percent support on election night, was a hair’s breadth short of the necessary 60 percent Friday with 59.9 percent. The final vote was 1,149 to 799.

The Davenport-based hospital district would have used the money to build a 25-unit assisted-living apartment complex for senior citizens. , DataTimes
