The committee will discuss bids for street projects.

Spokane Public Works Committee

The committee will discuss outlawing truck traffic on Freya Street between Third and 29th avenues, and on Crestline between 37th and the city limits.

Boundary Review Board

Monday, 3 p.m., public works hearing room

The board will be briefed on the state’s Growth Management Act.

Spokane City Council

Monday, 3:30 p.m. briefing, lower-level conference room

6 p.m. regular meeting

The council will consider a plan detailing how federal community development dollars will be spent in neighborhoods. Council members also may consider withdrawing plans to condemn the riverfront property just north of the downtown library.

Spokane County commissioners

2 p.m. meeting for non-hearing items, public works hearing room, 1026 W. Broadway

5 p.m. weekly meeting, public works hearing room

Among other business at their 5 p.m. meeting, commissioners will hold a hearing on Alton Tire’s proposal to build a tire store along the Newport Highway. The county hearing examiner denied the zone change needed for the building.

Spokane Plan Commission

Wednesday, 1:30 p.m. regular meeting, council chambers

City Hall, 808 W. Spokane Falls Blvd.

The commission will consider an ordinance aimed at managing signs and other items put on city sidewalks.

Town hall meeting with Commissioner John Roskelley

Wednesday, 6:30-9 p.m., Covenant United Methodist Church, 15515 N. Gleneden Road

Roskelley will meet with constituents from northern Spokane County to discuss road maintenance, flood prevention, the Growth Management Act and other issues.

Spokane District 81 School Board

The board will consider a school-to-work proposal

Spokane County Water Quality Advisory Committee

Thursday, 7 a.m., public works hearing room.

The committee will hear from the Spokane Homebuilders Association about developer contributions for sewer construction, and by a county engineer about financing stormwater projects.

Thursday, 9 a.m., public works hearing room.
