High Court To Hear Redevelopment Case
The state Supreme Court will hear a case on June 18 that could decide the fate of downtown Spokane’s River Park Square project.
The case, brought by attorney Steve Eugster on behalf of several parties, claims the city’s involvement in the $100 million redevelopment project is illegal.
A Spokane County Superior Court judge dismissed the lawsuit in April, saying that the city’s actions supporting the project were appropriate.
Eugster appealed the decision, and attorneys for the city and River Park Square requested that the case go straight to the Supreme Court, bypassing the Court of Appeals.
