Boundary Panel Oks Airway Annexation

The Washington State Boundary Review Board for Spokane County has approved the annexation of 4.5 acres on the northeast side of Airway Heights.

The approval came after the board reviewed the proposed annexation for 45 days this spring, said Kell McAboy, planner for Airway Heights.

The property includes three parcels.

One is owned jointly by J.D. and Wilma Henderson, and Rosemary Combs. Another is owned by Margaret Wills. The third lot is owned by Jay Landreth.

Owners of the property would be able to divide their land into smaller parcels under city land-use regulations. The land is within the interim urban growth boundary for Airway Heights and is part of a 50-acre area of unincorporated land surrounded by Airway Heights on three sides.

The land would be eligible for city water and sewer service.
