Colville Confederated Tribes Tally Primary

The Colville Confederated Tribes 14-member executive council will have at least a couple of new members after the tribes’ June 21 general election.

Nespelem District Councilman Harvey Moses Jr. was eliminated in this month’s primary election. A replacement was also needed for Omak District Councilman Dale Kohler, who died April 21.

Here are results of the May 3 primary, including absentee ballots:

Keller District, Position 1 - Incumbent Walter F. Arnold, 63 votes; Lee “Slim” Adolph, 11; John F. Stensgar, 53; Robert W. Turner, 36; Edie Desautel Van Slyke, 10.

Inchelium District, Position 1 - Incumbent Richard A. Swan, 188; Kimsqualhine Joe Baulne, 21; Lanny F. Boyd, 193.

Nespelem District, Position 1 - Incumbent Mathew Dick Jr., 107; Charlene Bearcub, 81; William M. Desautel, 29; Randall S. Friedlander, 57; Harvey George Jr., 18; Joanne C. Leith, 100; Katherine Rose Marie Saluskin, 63.
