Alleged Gang Member Wanted On 4 Warrants

A reputed gang member is this week’s Secret Witness target. He is DeWit Bates LaFrance Jr.

The police record on LaFrance in Spokane only dates back to 1995, when he arrived here from Compton, Calif., police said.

He is currently wanted on four criminal warrants including one for assaulting a police officer and another for attempting to elude an officer.

LaFrance, 23, is black, 6 feet 5 inches tall, 240 pounds with black hair and brown eyes.

Secret Witness is offering a cash reward for information that leads to LaFrance’s arrest. Callers to 327-5111 are urged to use a code name or number for future contact about a reward.
