Mobile Home Burns, Killing Oregon Woman

An Estacada woman died when flames engulfed her mobile home at the Spar Tree trailer court.

Claudia Gates, 55, apparently died of smoke inhalation, said Jeff McLennan, Clackamas County deputy medical examiner.

Neighbors were using garden hoses to douse their own homes when firefighters arrived about 11 p.m. Saturday.
