Small Quake Reported Near Othello

A small earthquake was recorded near this central Washington town Tuesday morning, but there were no reports of injuries or damage, Adams County officials said.

The University of Washington Seismology Laboratory in Seattle recorded a quake with a magnitude of 3.3 about 7:15 a.m. about 10 miles west of Othello.

The Adams County sheriff’s department and Othello police said they had no reports of damage or injuries.

“I was up having coffee and it didn’t even shake my coffee, so it must not have been too much,” Adams County Emergency Services Director Don Edson said.
