Locke Schedules Spokane Visit

Gov. Gary Locke will bring his Cabinet east Thursday, turning Spokane into a “capital for a day.”

He’ll stop at local community colleges, a grade school and the Spokane Intercollegiate Research and Technology Institute before finishing the day at West Central Community Center. Here’s Locke’s schedule:

7:30 a.m. Kickoff breakfast with Eastern Washington elected officials, Spokane Falls Community College.

9:45 a.m. Tour Jefferson Elementary School, 3612 S. Grand.

10:30 a.m. Press conference, Jefferson Elementary.

Noon. Spokane Area and Spokane Valley Chambers of Commerce luncheon, Spokane Community College student center.

1:30 p.m. Meet with school superintendents, Libby Center, 2900 E. First.

2:45 p.m. Transportation forum, SIRTI, 665 N. Riverpoint. , DataTimes
