Senior Center Planning Special Programs

The South Hill Senior Center is planning a Veteran’s Day program with a slide show of aerial photographs taken by the Air National Guard.

Jack O’Brien, a member of the center, will show his collection, which dates back to the 1920s and 1930s. The show includes old photos of the county Courthouse, Hayden Lake, Idaho, Mount St. Helens and parts of the Spokane area.

The program on Tuesday will begin at 12:30 p.m. and is free.

A $3 luncheon will be served at noon. Reservations are required by Monday and can be made by calling 535-0803.

A week later on Nov. 18, the center will host its Thanksgiving Dinner with social hour at 4:30 p.m. and dinner at 5 p.m.

The cost is $6.50 and reservations must be made in advance by calling the same number.

Entertainment will be provided by the Rogue Readers and a drawing is planned for a handmade quilt.
