Vampire-Killing Kit Attracts Many Bites

A Seattle man has paid $12,000 for a century-old vampire-killing kit auctioned by a pair of Grants Pass antique collectors.

The kit included an ivory crucifix that fires a silver bullet, a wooden stake, garlic powder, a small canister of gunpowder, a tiny bottle that had contained anti-vampire serum, several spare silver bullets and a mold for making more bullets.

The kit was among 1,000 items offered by Fain & Co. of Grants Pass. But it was the vampire kit that attracted the most attention.

“We had a lot of inquiries about the vampire kit,” said a company spokeswoman.The vampire kit buyer asked to remain anonymous.
