Churches Schedule Thanksgiving Services

With Thanksgiving fast approaching, North Side churches are preparing for the upcoming holiday season. Several churches in the area will hold special worship services on Thanksgiving Eve to allow people to spend the following day with family and friends.

North Addison Baptist Church will host a service at 7 p.m. Wednesday. Members of the First Evangelical Free, Driscoll Baptist, Prince of Peace Lutheran and the Russian Baptist Church will also participate in the service.

Music will be provided by performers from all the congregations. The pastors of North Addison, Driscoll Baptist and Prince of Peace will participate in the service.

North Addison Baptist is located at 6120 N. Addison.

Members of St. Peter Lutheran Church, 4620 N. Regal, will begin their Thanksgiving celebration with a dinner at 6:30 p.m. Wednesday. The free meal will be hosted by the Worship and Music Committee. The dinner will be followed by a worship service at 7:30 p.m.

Country Homes Christian Church, 8415 N. Wall, will hold its Thanksgiving Eve service at 7 p.m. Those attending are asked to bring a donation of food for the food bank.

Messiah Lutheran Church will hold a worship service at 7 p.m on Wednesday. The church is located at 4202 N. Belt.

St. Nicholas Antiochian Orthodox Church will hold a Mass at 6 p.m. Wednesday. The church is located at 1325 E. Queen.
