Motorcyclist Badly Hurt In Collision On Trent
A 19-year-old man was critically injured Friday when he wrecked his motorcycle in east Spokane, police said.
The crash occurred about noon near Trent and Myrtle.
Witnesses said the South Hill teenager was speeding east on Trent when he struck the side of a truck he was trying to pass on the right.
The motorcycle went out of control and the driver was thrown under the rear wheels of the truck, police said.
The teenager was wearing a helmet but still sustained fractures and other serious injuries. He was listed in critical condition at an area hospital Friday afternoon, police said.
Traffic investigators closed two blocks of Trent for several hours as they investigated the accident.
