Hotel Clerk Reports Robbery

A downtown hotel clerk was robbed at gunpoint over the weekend, police said.

The clerk told police she was making coffee Saturday night in the office at Cavanaugh’s Residential Courts, 1205 W. Fifth, when two men threatened her with a gun. She said they pushed her into a restroom while they searched for money.

Police said the robbers took money from the cash register, and grabbed the woman’s purse and rings.

The victim described the suspects as black men. One was 5 feet 9 inches tall with a medium build; the other was 6-foot-2 and beefier, police said. , DataTimes
