New faces:
LeMaster & Daniels PLLC has added the following people to the staff of its Spokane Valley office:
Keith Taylor was hired as an auditor in the Governmental Services Division. Taylor holds a bachelor’s degree from the University of Idaho-Moscow where he majored in accounting.
Karen Creveling-Hughes joined the firm as a senior accountant in the Tax and Advisory Business Services Department. Creveling-Hughes received a bachelor’s degree in accounting from Central Washington University. She was previously an accountant in the office of Scott M. Bessier.
Marty Bademian has joined Washington Mutual Bank’s Spokane Home Loan Center as a loan representative. Bademian has more than seven years of lending experience and was formerly the manager of Spokane Railway Credit Union’s Lincoln Height’s branch.
Farm Credit Services has hired the following three employees:
Rick Shields was named vice president of customer accounting and support. Shields, a CPA, will oversee all phases of loan accounting, participation/syndication accounting, lease accounting, and branch operational assistance and training. He was previously vice president and manager of finance and compliance at Seafirst Bankcard Services.
Mark Botterbusch joined Farm Credit Services as a product consultant. Botterbusch will help develop large or unique products, including leases and participations, coordinate loan pricing exceptions with management, and assist with profitability analyses. He previously worked for Key Bank of Washington, most recently as an underwriting officer.
Brad Rutt was named an accountant. Rutt will provide operational support to ensure compliance with generally accepted accounting principals, Internal Revenue Service regulations and internal control procedures. Rutt was previously a senior staff accountant for Ripley Doorn & Co. PLLC in Nampa, Idaho.
Spokane Railway Credit Union has hired Tracy Heartburg as manager of its Coeur d’Alene branch. Heartburg, who has several years of local credit union experience, was previously a branch manager for Great American Bank and Washington Mutual.
Brad Sharples-Faucher and Roger Snyder have joined the physical therapy staff at Kootenai Rehabilitation Center. Sharples-Faucher is a recent graduate of Idaho State University’s physical therapy program and an alumnus of the University of Idaho. Snyder did his undergraduate work at the University of California-San Francisco and graduate work in physical therapy at the University of Miami.
Moving up:
Delinda Welch has been promoted to manager of Spokane Railway Credit Union’s service center, which is the hub of its centralized telephone reception system. Welch had served as supervisor of the service center for more than three years.
Steve Jungen has been promoted to loan officer at the Hayden Lake Branch of Idaho Independent Bank. Jungen, who received a bachelor’s degree in business from Washington State University, has been with the bank since 1995.
Starting up:
Wells Fargo’s Business Banking Group is expanding into Spokane and has appointed Troy Tymesen as a commercial loan officer for small business with annual revenues up to $10 million. Tymesen, who received a bachelor’s degree in business administration from Carthage College, began his banking career in 1989.
Papa Murphy’s Take ‘N’ Bake Pizza has opened a store at 2418 W. Northwest Blvd. Owners are Bill and G’Nell DeLack. The store is the seventh franchise for the pizza chain in Spokane.
Elected:
Potlatch President and Chief Operating Officer L. Pendleton Siegel has been elected to the timber company’s board of directors. His term will begin Nov. 1. Siegel has served as Potlatch’s president and COO since May 1994.
Dennis Cutter, president and CEO of Spokane Railway Credit Union, was elected treasurer of the World Council of Credit Unions. Cutter, who has been active in the World Council since 1988, is one of two United States representatives elected to the council’s executive committee.
Kudos:
Dave Pelz, Fran Cook, John Marcheso and Roberta Dresback have qualified as members of the 1997 President’s Council of New York Life Insurance Co. Members rank in the top six percent of New York Life’s 6,800 active agents in the United States, based on 1996-97 sales performance.
Thomas Drynan has qualified as a member of the 1997 Chairman’s Council of New York Life Insurance Co. He is associated with New York Life’s Spokane General Office.
The Spokane Chapter of Executive Women collected and donated 2,085 books during its book drive this year.
