Cigarette Blamed For House Fire

From Staff And Wire Reports

A fire destroyed a Spokane home early Saturday. No one was injured.

More than 20 firefighters responded to the fire at 1717 W. Maxwell. When they arrived at 2:30 a.m. the house was engulfed in flames.

A cigarette on a hide-a-bed couch in the living room started the fire, investigators said. The 47-year-old tenant escaped without injury. , DataTimes
