Avista Signs Third-Party Licensing Deal

From Staff And Wire Reports

Avista Advantage has signed the first agreement licensing a third party to sell its technology for tracking and billing utility use.

The pact with Strategic Resource Solutions Corp. of Cary, N.C., has the potential to double the sites monitored using Avista’s Acis-brand technology, said Pat Lynch, spokesman for the Washington Water Power Co. subsidiary.

The new partners’ initial client is a bank in the Southeast with 600 branches.

Avista already tracks about 500 sites, Lynch said, adding that Acis gives clients more information and more control over consumption of utility services.

SRS, founded 14 years ago, also helps customers better manage their facilities, he said.
