Counterfeit $20 Bill Uncovered

Police seized a phony $20 bill passed at a local grocery this week.

An employee at Rosauers Food and Drug discovered the counterfeit bill while emptying a cash register in the store’s restaurant.

Police believe the phony bill had been passed Tuesday evening.

The bill’s color and detail were poor and lacked a ribbon embedded in the 1990 series, according to a police report.
