Woman Pulled From River Died Of Blow To Her Head
The autopsy results of a woman pulled from the Spokane River on Friday have prompted police to investigate her death as a homicide.
The unidentified woman, believed to be in her 20s, died of “blunt force trauma” to the head, autopsy results found.
A crew cleaning water-intake ducts at Washington Water Power’s Post Street Dam discovered the body caught in a grate, police said.
The woman’s body had been in the water long enough that police were unable to use fingerprints for identification, police said. Investigators are now using dental records to determine her identity.
