Colorado Beats Long Beach On Late Outburst By Phillips

Tari Phillips scored 18 points, four in the final 1:37, as the Colorado Xplosion beat the Long Beach StingRays 82-80 on Tuesday night in the American Basketball League.

Phillips made a layup with 1:37 left to give Colorado (1-2) a 78-77 lead, and added two free throws with 58 seconds remaining to make it 81-77.

Yolanda Griffith led the expansion StingRays (2-1) with 24 points and Clarissa Davis-Wrightsil added 19.
