Veterinarians Plan To Insert Pet Microchips At Saturday Clinic

From Staff And Wire Reports

The Spokane County animal shelter and Pet Rescue will hold a pet microchip licensing clinic from 1 to 4 p.m. Saturday at the shelter, 2521 N. Flora Road.

The chips, which can be read with an electronic scanner, are encoded with numbers that can be used to reunite lost pets with their owners.

Microchips cost $15 with a current pet license. Veterinarians will be on hand to insert the chips just under the skin of the pets.

Call the shelter at 458-2532 for more information.
