Group Health Plans Diabetes Screenings

Diabetes screenings will be held today at Group Health Northwest.

A national study is trying to find people with precursors of Type 1 diabetes, also called juvenile-onset diabetes. The study is trying to determine if insulin injections or capsules will stop Type 1 diabetes from starting.

The disease is genetically linked. Screenings will be held for most people under age 45 from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. today at Group Health Northwest’s Riverfront Center. Call 324-6464 for an appointment.
