Apartment Fire Labeled Suspicious

An apartment fire early Tuesday is being investigated as suspicious, according to a police report.

The fire, at 120 Borah Ave., appears to have started on a second-floor landing about 5:25 a.m. and burned down the stairs.

Three of the building’s four apartments were occupied when the fire was discovered, but none of the tenants was injured. Tenants in two upstairs apartments were forced to flee through a window and a back door.

The fire was discovered by a woman upstairs who was awakened by the smell of smoke.
