Two Indians Finish On Top In Two Nwl Categories

Spokane Indians outfielders Dermal Brown and Goefrey Tomlinson completed the Northwest League season as departmental leaders in two categories apiece.

Brown, the league’s MVP, finished No. 1 with 73 runs batted in and a .564 slugging percentage.

Tomlinson led the NWL with a .338 batting average and .440 on-base percentage.

The Indians finished 45-31.

Softball

The Inland Empire Softball Hall of Fame will induct new members Saturday in a dinner/ ceremony at the Doubletree Inn on Sullivan Road in the Spokane Valley.

The organization will hold a modified softball game between two of the area’s top women’s teams at 2 p.m. The dinner will begin at 6.
