Man Arrested In East-Side Rape

A 29-year-old Spokane man was arrested late Friday in connection with a reported rape near the Spokane Interstate Fairgrounds, police said.

The 20-year-old victim and another witness wrote down the license plate number of a car driven by the alleged rapist after the 11:30 p.m. attack, police said.

Gregory S. Powell, E. 3900 35th, was booked into jail on a charge of third-degree rape. , DataTimes
