U.S. Men’s Eight Triumphs
A young and inexperienced U.S. crew won the premier men’s eight event, the final day of the World Rowing Championships.
The team of Garrett Miller, Robert Cummins, Timothy Richter, Robert Kaehler, Michael Wherley, Philip Henry, Sebastian Bea, Christian Ahrens and Pete Cipollone beat Romania for the nation’s second eights title in three years and third since 1987.
