Habitat For Humanity To Hold Walkathon
Habitat for Humanity is sponsoring a 10-kilometer walkathon Sept. 20 to raise money for low-income home building in Spokane.
Organizers are asking walkers to gather a minimum of $100 in pledges.
Registration for the Centennial Trail walk starts at 9 a.m. at the Intercollegiate School of Nursing Education, 2917 W. Fort George Wright Drive. The walk begins at 10 a.m.
Habitat for Humanity is a nonprofit ecumenical organization that helps impoverished families build homes. The group has built 50 homes in Spokane since 1987.
Proceeds from the walk benefit the group’s general building fund.
