Search Targets Owner

Compiled From Wire Services

Police picked fibers off carpet and pored through vacuum debris at the home of Charlotte Hornets owner George Shinn while investigating a woman’s accusation of sexual misconduct there.

State police confirmed the woman first complained to police in Charlotte, N.C., but they would not say if she named Shinn or provided other details.

Charlotte police spokesman Tom Barry said the FBI also was investigating. A spokeswoman in the bureau’s Charlotte office would neither confirm nor deny that.
