Teens In Murder Probe Arrested For Burglary
Two teenagers who were questioned earlier this month in the murder of an elderly Spokane woman have been arrested for residential burglary.
Vy Thang and Simeon Daniel Terry, both 17, are suspected of burglarizing a South Hill residence on Aug. 31.
They will be tried as adults for first-degree burglary. Bond for Terry and Thang was set Friday at $50,000 cash.
The two escaped from Maple Lane juvenile detention facility near Centralia, Wash., on Aug. 2 when they were taken to a Seattle Seahawks exhibition football game by counselors. Thang, of Aberdeen, Wash., and Terry of Spokane have a history of violence and breaking into homes, authorities say.
Although the pair are not considered “suspects”, they are still under investigation for the killing of 85-year-old Mildred Klaus, who was found dead in her north Spokane home Sept. 2.
