U.S. Reaches Finals
It will be the United States against Cuba in the men’s and women’s finals of the North and Central American and Caribbean Volleyball Championships.
The American men qualified for the championship round by beating Canada 15-10, 15-13, 12-15, 15-13. Earlier, the U.S. women beat the Dominican Republic 15-10, 11-15, 15-9, 15-4.
The Cuban men got into Friday’s final by trouncing Mexico 15-1, 15-4, 15-8 and the women earned a spot in today’s finale with a 15-6, 15-3, 15-4 defeat of Canada.
The men’s and women’s winners qualify for the World Cup to be held in Japan in November.
