One Lucky Ticket Matches Lotto Numbers For $17 Million

From Staff And Wire Reports

“One winner got it all.”

That’s how Larry Barnard of the Washington State Lottery announced that one person had won a $17 million Lotto jackpot Saturday night in the state’s largest drawing since March 1995.

The winning numbers were: 4, 12, 26, 28, 47 and 49.

Sales for Saturday’s Lotto drawing were $4,892,535.

Barnard could not confirm reports that a rush for Lotto tickets caused the lottery’s computer system to crash.

“I heard that there was about a 10- or 15-minute period where the machines weren’t working, weren’t selling, but I haven’t confirmed that,” he said. “If the system goes down for any reason, so do the terminals in all the selling locations.”

The Lotto drawing for Wednesday night retruns to $1 million, he said.

A computer check showed 160 Lotto tickets were sold with five of the six winning numbers and are worth $703 each, and 9,122 tickets had four winning numbers and are worth $24 each.
