Swim Hole Warning

Clarification

The “Routes” map featuring Q’emiln Riverside Park at Post Falls (Aug. 31) identified a spot on the Spokane River locally known as “The Swimming Hole.” Washington Water Power officials called to emphasize that the area below the concrete spillway on the south channel of the river is off-limits to swimmers.

The dam gates can be opened without notice causing a sudden and dangerous surge of water. , DataTimes
